1. 34 But if thou return into the city, and wilt say to Absalom: I am thy servant, O king: as I have been thy father's servant, so I will be thy servant: thou shalt defeat the counsel of Achitophel.

但你若回城去，向阿贝沙隆说：大王，我愿作你的仆人，先前我是你父亲的仆人，如今我作你的仆人；这样你反能为我破坏阿希托费耳的计谋。

2. And after Achitophel was Joiada the son of Banaias, and Abiathar. And the general of the king's army was Joab.

约阿布为君王军队的元帅。

3. 34 And after Achitophel was Joiada the son of Banaias, and Abiathar.

继阿希托费耳之后的是贝纳雅的儿子约雅达和厄贝雅塔尔；

4. Eliphelet the son of Aasbai the son of Machati, Eliam the son of Achitophel the Gelonite,

贝特玛阿加人阿哈斯拜的儿子厄里培肋特，基罗人阿希托费耳的儿子厄里安，

5. 23Now the counsel of Achitophel, which he gave in those days, was as if a man should consult God: so was all the counsel of Achitophel, both when he was with David, and when he was with Absalom.

那时，阿希托费耳所出的主意，好像是询问天主得来的神谕。凡阿希托费耳所出的主意，无论对达味，或对阿贝沙隆，都是如此。

6. 33 And Achitophel was the king's counsellor, and Chusai the Arachite, the king's friend.

阿希托费耳为君王的顾问；阿尔基人胡瑟为君王的朋友；

7. 15But Absalom and all his people came into Jerusalem, and Achitophel was with him.

阿贝沙隆与跟随他的众以色列人进了耶路撒冷，阿希托费耳也同他在一起。
