14. For it is my desire to give you news of the great fight I am making for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not seen my face in the flesh;

16. Three major roads led from the seaport: one road went east towards Babylon via Laodicea, another to the north via Smyrna and a third south to the Meander Valley.

30. To the angel of the church in Laodicea, 10 write this: ＂ ‘The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the source of God's creation, says this:

31. And to the messenger of the church in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the beginning of the creation of God

39. Sarids represents the deadness; Philadelphia represents the resurrection; Laodicea represents the lukewarness.

40. If left to yourselves, you who are warmest for Christ would cool down like Laodicea into sickening lukewarmness: you who are sound in the faith would be white with the leprosy of false doctrine;

41. Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea and also Nympha and the church that is in her house.
