1. And Joseph was brought down to Egypt and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.

1约瑟被带下埃及去。有一个埃及人，是法老的内臣，护卫长波提乏，从那些带下他来的以实玛利人手下买了他去。

2. Now Joseph was taken down to Egypt;and Potiphar the Egyptian, a captain of high position in Pharaohs house, got him for a price from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there.

1约瑟被带下埃及去，有一个埃及人是法老的内臣、护卫长波提乏、从那些带下他来的以实玛利人手下买了他去。

3. And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh#s, and captain of the guard.

36米甸人带约瑟到埃及,把他卖给法老的内臣护卫长波提乏。

4. And in Egypt the men of Midian gave him for a price to Potiphar, a captain of high position in Pharaohs house.

5. And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

6. Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.

4约瑟就在主人眼前蒙恩，伺候他主人，并且主人派他管理家务，把一切所有的都交在他手里。

7. He did not mull the seduction over in his mind.He did not flirt with the idea of fun and games with Potiphar's wife.

他不容让诱惑的思想在脑海中盘旋，也拒绝与波提乏的妻子调情作乐。

8. He was in charge of the whole administration of the house and estate.oseph was a good steward in Potiphar's home.

他要负责管理主人的全部家业。旧约的约瑟，便是波提乏的好管家。

9. The blessing of the LORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.

凡家里和田间一切所有的，都蒙耶和华赐福。

10. Meanwhile, the Midianites sold him in Egypt to Potiphar, Pharaoh's officer, the captain of the bodyguard.

创37:36米甸人带约瑟到埃及、他卖给法老的内臣、卫长波提乏。

11. Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an Egyptian officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the bodyguard, bought him from the Ishmaelites, who had taken him down there.

创39:1约瑟被带下埃及去．有一个埃及人是法老的内臣、护卫长波提乏、从那些带下他来的以实玛利人手下买了他去。

12. So Potiphar trusted him and let him take care of his house and everything in it.

因此波笛法很信任他，让他掌管家中大小事务。

13. None of the men of the house were there, only Potiphar's wife.

她早已准备好要引诱约瑟。

14. Potiphar saw God's hand on Joseph's life, because everything he gave Joseph to do brought a profit to Potiphar!

她说话引诱约瑟，想让约瑟犯罪得罪神。

15. Again, God gave him success and favor, as He had done in Potiphar’s home and in prison.

如同他在波提乏家中和在监牢里时一样，上帝再次使他亨通。

16. Was it Potiphar who assigned them to Joseph's care? (v4).

是不是波提乏指定要约瑟看管两人呢？

17. Sister-in-law to jealous Potiphar;

18. and Potiphar， an officer of Pharaoh， captain of the guard， an Egyptian， bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites， which had brought him down thither.

20. But one day Joseph had some work to do in Potiphar's house.

有一天，约瑟进波提乏的屋里去办事，家中人没有一个在那屋里，只有波提乏的妻子。

21. Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian,

有个埃及人普提法尔，是法郎的内臣兼卫队长，

22. Most probably Potiphar knew he was innocent, but since it was an embarrassing public situation for him and his wife, he kept Joseph in prison.

波提乏很可能知道约瑟的无辜，但这件事若被披露出来将使他和他的妻子难堪，所以波提乏还是将约瑟下在监里。

23. Potiphar quickly saw that Joseph's abilities and character were from a 'Divine source'.

24. Potiphar was an officer in the army of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.

25. Meanwhile the Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar an official of Pharaoh the captain of the guard.

27. 4. Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.

约瑟就在主人眼前蒙恩，伺候他主人，并且主人派他管理家务，把一切所有的都交在他手里。

28. Joseph was bruised and beaten and had to go through Potiphar's kitchen and Egypt's prison to get to his throne.

约瑟必须做过波提乏的仆役，坐过埃及的监狱，才能得到宰相的高位。

29. Now Joseph had been brought down to Egypt, and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, had bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there.

31. 1 1 When Joseph was taken down to Egypt, a certain Egyptian (Potiphar, a courtier of Pharaoh and his chief steward) bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him there.

若瑟被人带到埃及，有个埃及人普提法尔，是法郎的内臣兼卫队长，从带若瑟来的依市玛耳人手里买了他。
