6. "To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.I know your deeds;you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

7. And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write；These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God， and the seven stars；

2你要儆醒，坚固那剩下将要衰微的（衰微原文作死）。

8. 3:4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.

4然而在撒狄，你还有几名是未曾污秽自己衣服的，他们要穿白衣与我同行，因为他们是配得过的。

9. But you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments, and they will walk with Me in white because they are worthy.

11. He who is impassible suffers and does not take revenge，he who is immortal dies and does not answer a word”（Melito of Sardis）.

“那位不能受苦的，受苦而不报复，那位不朽的死了，而没有还嘴。”

12. Christ said there were a few people even in Sardis that still had life.

但基督指出，即使在撒狄教会里面，仍然有一些有生命力的信徒。

16. 4 But thou hast a few names in Sardis, which have not defiled their garments: and they shall walk with me in white, because they are worthy.

36. Now read Jesus' report card to this group of believers in Sardis.

37. See, here is perfect purity for thee!A few in Sardis kept their garments undefiled, and their recompense is to be spotless.Perfect holiness is the prize of our high calling;let us not miss it.

看哪，得胜的人不多，上帝要赏赐那得胜者有洁白衣服穿，圣洁无瑕疪是回应上帝呼召最大的奖赏，切莫错过了它！

38. Having lost his communication by sea with Asia, Xerxes was forced to retire to Sardis;
